The 32-year-old woman, who narrated her ordeal on a private radio programme ‘Adaba FM’ Akure, said it was her mother, who is a member of the church that introduced her to the pastor when she was afflicted with whooping cough. .
A pastor in charge of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Oke-Itura, Iju, Ondo State, Mathew Olakunle, has been accused of impregnating a woman undergoing spiritual healing in his church. .The woman, Mrs. Omotola Akerele, alleged that the cleric had s'ex with her during spiritual cleansing and that resulted in pregnancy.
Olakunle was alleged to be in the habit praying for women in the church without their clothes on. .
Akererele alleged that her casual relationship with the pastor led to pregnancy which she ab0rted without the consent of her husband.
She said: “After praying for me he said I needed a shaving stick and a handkerchief to perform the spiritual exercise which I took to him.The pastor told me that he wanted to use my hair to perform some spiritual work that would solve my problem. On the night of that first day we got there, he asked me to put off my clothes in the presence of my mother to pray for me in the mission house.
Since that day, he has been asking me to come for deliverance and when I got there he would ask me to remove my clothes and climb on me n.akedly and started praying for me.On the seventh day, he shaved the hair of my pr!vate part and armpit and put it in the white handkerchief.
After that, we had sexual intercourse and after the intercourse he asked me to go and bury the hair with the handkerchief.”
.Omotola said a month after the intercourse, she became pregnant and terminated it but her husband later got to know about the matter and sent her out of the matrimonial home.
The pastor admitted praying for women in the church n.akedly, saying God answered prayer faster while praying in n ude. He, however, denied having sexual intercourse with Omotola, but confessed he had sexual relationship with Omotola’s younger sister twice and had prayed for their mother n.akedly too.
