A police officer has left may people scratching their heads in wonder after he was named as the killer of his loved ones.
Daniel L and his girlfriend
A police officer is said to have killed his son and girlfriend then proceeded to lead a search for their 'killer'. He is now being treated as a suspect.
According to Metro UK, it is believed that the officer strangled his own son and shot his girlfriend dead in Vienna in October.
Claudia Konstantinovics was killed along with son, Noah, last year.
Police say that the suspect, named only as Daniel L, confessed to killing Claudia with a gun he smuggled out of the police station where he works.
He is then believed to have driven their bodies hundreds of miles out of the city to bury them in woodland.

Before the murders, he is said to have looked on the internet searching for ‘the perfect murder’ and ‘inconspicuous corpse removal’.
Police investigators had assumed based on analysis of his WhatsApp data that he killed Konstantinovic while she was asleep. However, no traces to back up this claim could be found at the murder scene.
Daniel said during police interview that he instead killed his girlfriend around noon while they were arguing.
It is alleged that he killed his own son by strangling him
He said that on the day of the murders he had wanted to end the relationship and that they had argued before he shot her.
Daniel had been working with the Vienna state police department since 1st January 2016.
He originally reported his girlfriend and son as missing and told police that she had left the flat together with their toddler, taking a bag of the boy’s clothes with her, and that he had not seen her since.
His girlfriend, originally from Klagenfurt, was six months pregnant. A friend of hers wrote an appeal on Facebook, asking people to help find her.
Two days later, the man called his boss to say that he was sick and drove to his parents’ house in Styria. He buried the two corpses in a meadow, not far from the home where he grew up.
When police searched the couple’s flat in Vienna for clues as to the whereabouts of the missing woman they found traces of blood. The suspect was arrested in Styria and confessed shortly after.
Daniel’s colleagues described him as friendly and committed to his job and said they were stunned by the news.
The prosecutor’s office is now drafting the official indictment. The trial against the ex-police officer is to take place before the summer according to local media.
