A Lagos politician has passed away under very mysterious circumstances following the conclusion of a strategic meeting in the state.
 
The chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Iba Town and chairmanship aspirant in Ojo Local Government of Lagos State in the coming LG elections in the state, Chief Emmanuel Nwankwo has died.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the Ndiowu in Orumba North Local Government of Anambra State-born politician died barely ten minutes after returning from a PDP meeting held at the Lagos State Secretariat on Wednesday.


A correspondent gathered that the late Nwankwo returned from the meeting and started vomiting blood and was rushed to a hospital in Ojo where he was admitted.
But when the hospital management could not handle the case, he was transferred to another hospital on the Lagos Island where he eventually died.
His death has thrown the residents and party members into confusion and utterly shock as they claimed that he might have been poisoned due to the party leadership crises in the area.
Though, autopsy report is yet to ascertain the cause of his death, a reporter gathered that there has been leadership tussle among the PDP members in Iba town between the Igbo and other ethnic groups in the area.
At the end, Nwankwo, popularly known as Guilder, emerged as chairman and was hoping to be the party aspirant before this incident happened.
When a correspondent visited his popular hotel where he used as his office, the staff confirmed the incident but still in shock over what happened.
Some of the party members contacted also were still in shock over his death. One of them told a correspondent that indeed there has been crisis in the area but it was resolved with late Nwankwo emerged as the Party leader in the area.
Meanwhile, his corpse has been taken down to his village and deposited at a mortuary from where he will taken for burial.
According to the family members, not date has been fixed for his burial.
The late Nwankwo is married to two wives and had many children
