Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state has favoured one pregnant woman, known as Gloria Nwnakwo with N200,000 to start any business of her choice.

Daily Trust reports that Governor Umahi who went to the Government House to inspect the level of work at the mushroom factory under construction, was moved by passion when he saw Nwnakwo among those mixing concrete for the job.
The woman was among the labourers mixing concrete. He walked to the expectant mother, and ordered her to go home, adding that her condition was not good for such tasking job.
The pregnant woman who is from Ishieke in Ebonyi local government area could not control her tears of joy over the governor’s gift, said she was pushed into doing menial job by poverty.
It was learnt that the governor also extended the charity to other laborers at the site as he gave them N100,000 for lunch.
