The burglars were said to have tripped a silent alarm, but the singer’s security team didn’t discover the break-in until around 6 or 7am.
Singer, Mariah Carey’s Los Angeles mansion has been robbed of $50,000 (£38,000) worth of accessories after thieves stormed the home on Thursday.
According to TMZ, the burglars reportedly hit her home and made away with a number of expensive bags and sunglasses, though they decided to spare her valuable jewellery collection.
It is understood that, the singer was away in New York at the time the robbery occurred and no one was home, allowing the bandits to gain access into the house either through a window or door on an upper floor, as a ladder was found in the back yard.
Lucky for her, the Hermes bag is still intact as it wasn’t listed among items carted away in the heist.
Mariah also recently revealed her most treasured possession during a tour of her home in a recent video for Vogue magazine.
“I have Marilyn’s white piano upstairs in my living room and it’s from when she was a child and it’s my prized possession.
“I love the glamour. There’s just something about that specific era where it’s, like, magical.”
That prized possession also survived this robbery.
The 47 year old Mariah, now joins a long list of stars whose Los Angeles homes have been burgled in recent months, with the likes of Jason Derulo, Scott Disick, Kendall Jenner, Alanis Morissette, David Spade and Emmy Rossum previously targeted.
