A trigger-happy police officer has reportedly shot dead a man who was preparing to bury his mother over N100 bribe. 

Tony aka Sugu was allegedly shot dead by a police officer.

A Nigerian man preparing to bury his mother has allegedly been shot dead by an officer attached to Rivers State Police Command in Elele town, Rivers state.

The incident reportedly happened after the victim identified as Tony aka Sugu refused to give the officer N100 bribe.

Enyindah Alex who shared the story on Facebook wrote: "Innocent" Tony (a.k.a Sugu) shot death today in Elele town by the police force/army because of N100. The saddest of it all is that Sugu was hustling and preparing for the burial of his late mother before he met his untimely death."
