A Nigerian man identified as Sulaimon Munirudeen Opeyemi, has called out a man who reportedly defrauded his sister of N35,000, following a deal which went sour.
According to the man who provided screenshots of their conversation to backup his claims, the alleged fraudster identified as Michael Jaja O, blocked him on Facebook after he threatened to exposed his antics. Sulaimon claims that his sister who changes old notes into crisp ones at weddings, had given Michael N35,000 worth of new ones, but he had sent her a fake SMS alert as payment.
Narrating what transpired, Sulaimon said:
“I have a case to report about a guy who defrauded my sister that is into turning old note into mints at events. The guy’s name is Michael Jaja O on Facebook, they had a deal which my sister gave him mints of 35k and he sent her fake SMS alert. She called her bank immediately and the bank said the transaction was not successful, but the guy claimed that his account had been debited. Ever since then he promised to pay her back, but to my surprise the guy refused to pay her after he claimed that his bank said the transaction was successful, we had a conversation on WhatsApp with a foreign number, as he said he is not in the country. His phone number is 08060029870, and he claimed that he is not in Nigeria now and the phone number kept ringing while SMS were sent to him. When I got to know his details, I now sent his name through the SMS. The guy now used one foreign number to chat with me on WhatsApp which I also screenshot our conversation too. the number is +1(202)280-0266.”
