We were managing it traditionally with palm kernel oil and some other things; but one day in March 2017, Chukwuebuka again began to convulse. On this occasion, we had unfortunately run out of the medicines, due to lack of money. To make matters worse, my husband was also not around to do the running around for cash</span></div>

I became afraid, panicky and started looking for people to help me. With neighbour’s help, we rushed him to Isolo General Hospital, where he was given injection and he immediately went into coma, which he never came out of.</span></div>

Since then, we managed to put it in check until this fateful day.</span></div>

It was after he went into a coma that we were told we should never have brought him to the hospital, as someone who is convulsing should not be injected.While in coma, they carried out series of tests on him and concluded that his life was in the hands of God and we should just be hopeful. But eventually, we lost him. </span></div>

I still can’t understand what happened to Ebubechukwu; I can’t really explain it. He was one year, going to two and not sick. You know as children, he and his brother were always together; they played together, did everything together and were indeed very close. So, when he saw his brother lying in the hospital bed lifeless, he pulled and called his name in desperation. When he didn’t respond, he started crying and we consoled him. Thereafter he just started behaving funny and strange and eventually died.”</span></div>

She spoke of how she used to manage her husband’s N12,000 salary during the time of the former Lagos State governor, since it was regular, but lamented that since the assumption to power of the new governor, salaries at the Lagos State Waste Management Authority, LAWMA, where her husband works, has not been forthcoming. At the moment, she said they are being owed four months’ salary.</span></div>

My baby is not eating well. We go hungry for days; sometimes because we don’t have money to buy food and the baby doesn’t get enough bre@.$t milk. She is five months old and the last time we checked, she weighed just 4kg, which is the usual weight for new born babies.”</span></div>

<div>The City of London police are investigating an alleged fraud involving a former Premier League footballer who lost £3.9m from one of Britain’s richest evangelical churches in a disastrous investment scheme.</div>
<div>The criminal investigation follows a Charity Commission report into “mismanagement” at Kingsway International Christian Centre, which invested £5m with the former Charlton Athletic player Richard Rufus. Rufus was found by a civil court judge in 2015 to have operated a Ponzi-style scheme between 2007 and 2011, losing or spending £8m from several investors.</div>
<div>Rufus was a leading member of the KICC whose “founder, visionary and senior pastor” is Matthew Ashimolowo, a Nigerian evangelist who preaches a “health and wealth” gospel to a congregation of thousands at his “Prayer Palace” in Kent. The largely African and Caribbean churchgoers are urged to give regular tithes and the church collected £5.8m from them in 2015, according to the latest accounts.</div>
<div>In 2009 and 2010 the trustees agreed to give Rufus £5m to invest after he promised them returns of 55% a year at a time when interest rates were less than 1%. As well as millions in donations from churchgoers – which were boosted by gift aid tax relief – it had recently received £10m from the London Development Agency, a public body that needed to demolish the church’s then home in east London to build the Olympic Park.</div>
<div>“Detectives from City of London police’s fraud teams are investigating,” a police spokesman confirmed. There have been no arrests.</div>

<div>The church’s senior management team concluded his “personal guarantee makes this as safe an investment as any” and produced a report on the investment that included no checks on Rufus’s past investment performance or any references from clients.</div>
<div>It is the second time the Charity Commission has had to investigate the church. In 2005, when it was known as the King’s Ministries Trust, the regulator ordered Ashimolowo to repay £200,000 after it emerged he used church assets to buy a £13,000 Florida timeshare and spent £120,000 on his birthday celebrations, including £80,000 on a car. New trustees were appointed and Ashimolowo was removed from his role as chief executive.</div>
<div>Ashimolowo knew about the investment with Rufus, the church’s chief operating officer James McGlashan told the Guardian, but denies being any part of the decision to invest the money as he was not a trustee of the KICC.</div>
<div>“[The trustees’] actions were totally independent and were not influenced in any way by pastor Ashimolowo,” said Dipo Oluyomi, KICC chief executive in a statement.</div>
<div>None of the current trustees were involved at the time of the investment.</div>
<div>Ashimolowo delivers sermons to his congregations at branches of the church in the UK, Ireland, Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Malawi and the Democratic Republic of Congo that teach how God wants them to be rich, including lessons on the “irrevocable laws of wealth creation” . <p>A woman has been arrested after she was allegedly filmed having s ex with boys aged 12 and 14 in a public toilet. Maria Lynn Baker was held by police in Florida early Saturday morning on two counts of lewd and lascivious battery.</p>

<p>Officers from Ocala Police Department were called to an argument where a woman is believed to have shown cops footage of Baker having s ex with an underage boy.</p>

<p>The 28-year-old was arrested by Detective Melissa Buetti on suspicion of having s ex with a pair of underage boys in a public convenience.</p>
<p>Buetti was told Baker was having s ex with two 12- to 14-year-old boys inside a toilet at the War Memorial, in Silver Springs Boulevard, according to OPD officials.</p>
<p>Police told the newspaper that she could face more charges, as they believe there could be additional victims.</p>

<div>After thirty years of barrenness, the General Overseer of Glorious Salvation Ark of God Ministry in Efurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, Pastor Solomon Eferaha and his wife, Mrs. Florence, on Sunday dedicated their first child, Samuel Ewomazino Eferaha.</p>

<p>Like the Biblical Samuel, the little Samuel Ewomazino was born December 15, 2016, after his mother carried his pregnancy for three years.</p>

<p>The couple got married February 7, 1987 and since then, they have had no child.</p>
<p>In a chat with DAILY POST shortly after the dedication service, the cleric stated that thirty years after marriage, especially without an issue was a “long journey”.</p>
<p>Eferaha noted that some persons became ashamed of coming to his house as a result of the wife’s barrenness.</p>
<p>Pastor Eferaha noted that serving God goes with so much insults.</p>

<p>He disclosed that his wife fell sick after seven months into their marriage, resulting in them seeking both spiritual and medical help without any result, even from native doctors, until he gave his life to God in 1991.</p>
<p>The retired Staff of Total Nigeria Limited also noted that even as an unbeliever, he never went deep into diabolic means in his search for a child.</p>
<p>Eferaha also stated that “l was never tempted to leave my wife for another woman because I needed a child.”</p>
<p>Eferaha said, “After thirty years, this miracle is not common. God has been preparing a package for us. God had been preparing a child for us. I have never witnessed this kind of thing in my life before. It was like a carnival. The people had waited for so long and when they saw it, it was a carnival the day my wife delivered.”</p>

Eferaha described the delivery and dedication of the child as a “victory for Jesus Christ”, stating that he rejected adoption as an option even when other pastors persuaded him to do so.</p>
<p>The fifty-seven-year old cleric revealed that his wife carried the pregnancy for three years stressing that, “it looked like a play. We never loosed our hope. Since I married her, I have never raised my hands on her.”</p>
<p>Eferaha disclosed that his wife named their first child, Samuel because they vowed to return him back to God if finally she gives birth.</p>

<p>Wife of the cleric, Mrs. Florence Eferaha thanked God for making her a woman and mother after thirty years.</p>
<p>“It was a battle and war. So many people mocked me but I knew where I was going . God is faithful”, she said.</p>
<p>Florence who christined her hubby as her ” brother”, “real husband” and “friend” appreciated him for enduring and standing behind her in spite of the battles she went through.</p>
