Henrietta Kosoko was a talented Nigerian actress, whose career began back in 1995. She was considered to be one of the most popular Nollywood stars and was famous for her roles in the movies “Eleda Teju” and “Alayaki”.

Henrietta Kosoko The actress hailed from Delta State and before she started her acting career, she was a trained caterer. Henrietta and her husband Jide Kosoko met during the a movie premiere in Mushin, Lagos and they soon fell in love with each other.
Henrietta had a couple of serious misfortunes happen to her when she was alive. She once got into a terrible accident along the Sagamu-Abeokuta expressway and was barely breathing when she was rushed to the hospital. Also, Henrietta Kosoko suffered from diabetes.
So what eventually took her life?
Jide Kosoko’s third wife’s death On June 6, 2016, Henrietta was reported to have slumped at her home and died shortly after.
Was it as a result of complications from the accident or was it connected the actress’ long battle with diabetes? Jide Kosoko, the actress’ husband, was finding it difficult to recover from the shock of his wife’s death.
During an interview with Encomium Magazine, he said: “The Kosoko families are not in a good mood to address the press as you can see. I will be glad if you can suspend your activities until the family is ready to attend to the press.”
The saddest aspect was that Jide was not even around when his wife died and found out only when his friend told him to check the news on the Internet. The actor mentioned that he thought it was only a rumour circulating on the Internet, at first, and could only believe it when he saw what happened with his own eyes.
There had been a lot of rumours surrounding Henrietta’s death since she was the third wife that Kosoko has lost. A lot of people has been wondering if there was something supernatural going on that led to the death of all of Jide Kosoko’s wives.
Henrietta Kosoko’s death The Yoruba actress died at the rather young age, she was just 53. Her brother Krisvosa, who spoke with journalists, said that Henrietta started to feel unwell two weeks before her death and the family took her to the hospital.
She seemed to be recovering and everybody was glad to hear that Henrietta was feeling better. But she relapsed and had to be admitted to the hospital for the second time, where she then lost her life after a few days.
The actress’ death was not only a big loss for her husband and fans but for Henrietta’s four children. Grieving about their mother’ death, Sola Kosoko and her sister, Bidemi wrote on Facebook: “Henrietta Kosoko is dead.
We will miss you, Mama. May your soul rest in perfect peace.” In addition, ANTP president, Comrade Victor Ashaolu also expressed his condolence to the actress’ family, describing Henrietta’s demise as “a big blow to us in ANTP, and the film industry.”
Henrietta was a great actress, loving mother, and wife. Her sudden death came as a shock for everyone and she will be sorely missed and remembered by all fans and family.
